Dr. Jessica Turcat is a Teaching Assistant Professor of Gender, Women’s, and Sexuality Studies at Oklahoma State University. She draws inspiration for her creative writing from her studies focused on body politics, feminist mothering, and women and literature. 

She was selected as one of OSU's Center for the Humanities Research Group Fellows for the 2023 - 2024 academic year. She has also been the recipient of the 2015 Writers@Work fellowship for poetry from University of Utah, the Rash Awards for Poetry sponsored by Broad River Review, and the Edwin Markham Prize for Poetry sponsored by Reed Magazine.
